Inspired by her travels, Lisa wanted a cosy headboard x wardrobe where the bed would fit naturally. The starting point of her layout, our arched cane doors dress up the Pax cabinets and add a unique touch to the room.

Some practical info

Cabinet frames: this layout mixes Metod cabinets above the bed and Pax cabinets for the wardrobe columns. To align the Metod and Pax cabinets, Lisa used large brackets, as shown in this tutorial.

Pax doors: our Pax doors run to the floor and are pre-drilled to fit Pax cabinets using Ikea Komplement hinges.

Metod doors: our Metod doors are pre-drilled to perfectly fit the Metod cabinets using Ikea Utrustat hinges.

Sides: cover panels are used to cover the sides of your cabinets and are screwed on from the inside. If your layout is wall-to-wall, you won't need them for the outer sides. However, you may need to create a filler panel to cover the gap between the cabinet and the adjoining wall.
