Lisa Gachet's Oak wardrobe Bench

In her bedroom, Lisa Gachet created an inverted arch born from a mix of Pax and Metod cabinets, and Plum Living fronts in cane and natural oak. Applied in the back of the niche, the burgundy and powdered pink wallpaper creates a boudoir effect, while the offset mirror leaves a place to sit.


Lisa's tip? She cleverly chose Ikea cabinets veneered in wood, to do without finishing panels on the sides of the wrdrobe and limit her wardrobe budget.

Lisa Gachet's room, and her caned bench wardrobe.

Some practical info

  • Wardrobe: our doors are pre-drilled to attach to Pax cabinets. They go down to the floor and cover the bottom of the cabinet.

  • Hinges: plan for 3 Komplement hinges (to be purchased at Ikea) per 201cm door and 4 hinges per 236cm door.

  • Bench: our doors are pre-drilled to attach to Metod cabinets. Plan for 2 Utrusta hinges (to be purchased at Ikea) per 60x40cm door.

  • Sides: to avoid side panels and optimize her budget, Lisa opted for Pax cabinets in Oak.

  • Cuts: no cuts necessary for the realization of this project.
