Some practical info

  • In this project, we used 37cm deep Metod high cabinets that we secured together and placed them on the floor.

  • Doors and hinges: our doors are pre-drilled to attach to the Metod cabinets. Plan for 2 Utrusta hinges per door (to be purchased at Ikea).

  • Sides: The finishing panels that cover the cabinet sides are screwed from the inside, with 25 to 30mm screws.

  • Cutting: To reproduce this project, only one cut will be necessary. You will need to cut your 39x83cm panel to 39x81.4cm so that it fits perfectly on the bench seat.
