A suspended vanity unit

Some practical details

  • Metod cabinets are suspended with a Metod rail fixed to the wall.

  • The dowels and screws used to fix the rail will depend on the nature of your wall (concrete, plasterboard etc.) and the weight to be supported. Ask your local DIY shop!

  • We installed two Ikea Maximera ("medium" size) drawers, which allow the pipes to feed through.

  • Thecover panels, which cover the sides, are screwed on from the inside with 25-30mm screws.

  • If your layout is wall-to-wall, you will not need to use side panels. However, you may need a 15x240cm cover panel to create a filler to hide the gap between the cabinet and the adjoining wall. This optimises your budget!
